Surf's up for teen drama series, set to return to the beaches along the Great Ocean Road.

Netflix has announced Aussie teen drama Surviving Summer will return for Season 2.

Produced by Werner Film Productions and ZDF Studios, the series follows Summer Torres, a rebellious New York teen, as she’s sent Down Under to live with family friends in a tiny coastal town on the Great Ocean Road.

Season 2 sees the return of Sky Katz as the feisty Summer, Kai Lewins as Ari Gibson, João Gabriel Marinho as Marlon Sousa, Savannah La Rain as Bodhi Mercer and reigning Open Women’s Queensland Surf Champion Lilliana ‘Lil’ Bowrey as Poppy Tetanui.

The series reached the top 10 shows in over 42 countries around the world on Netflix, including USA, Canada, UK, Brazil and countries across Europe, Africa and Asia, including 9th in Australia.

Filming will return to the beaches of the Great Ocean Road on Wadawurrung Country in Victoria.
